As a Cumberland County, North Carolina native, C. Douglas Maxwell has the knowledge and experience of working in and around the Fayetteville area for over 40 years.
In 1963 C. Douglas Maxwell, Jr. graduated from St. Andrews Presbyterian College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. In 1970, he received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law. That same year he was admitted into the North Carolina State Bar and since then has been practicing law for over 40 years.
C. Douglas Maxwell, Jr. has also served as a Public Guardian for the Cumberland County Superior Court since 1974.
Currently he is a member of the, American Bar Association, the North Carolina 12th Judicial District, the North Carolina State Bar, the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys, the North Carolina Elder Law Section, and the North Carolina Estate Planning Section.
In 2013, C. Douglas Maxwell, Jr. received the Lexis-Nexis, Martindale-Hubbell BV Distinguished Award for his Legal Ability and Ethical Standards.
